Delete your account

How to delete your Aleefy account — from inside the app in under a minute, or by email if you can no longer sign in — and exactly what is removed when you do.

From the app

  • Open Aleefy and go to Settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  • Enter your password to confirm. You can tell us why, but you do not have to.
  • Tap Delete permanently. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on every device.

In the Aleefy Clinics app the same option is under Settings. If you own a clinic, transfer ownership or close the clinic first — the app will tell you if that is still needed.Clinic app

By email, if you cannot open the app

Write to support@aleefy.me from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request by replying to that address, then delete the account within 30 days — usually much sooner — and tell you when it is done.

If you no longer have access to that email address, tell us the phone number on the account instead; we will verify it with a one-time code before deleting anything. We will never delete an account on a request we cannot tie to its owner.

What is deleted

  • Your name, phone number, country, region and profile photo.
  • Your email address and password — the account row is retired and can no longer be used to sign in.
  • Your pets: their profiles, photos and QR tags. A scanned tag stops resolving.
  • Every signed-in session, and every push notification token for your devices.
  • Your notification preferences and your favourite clinics.

All of this happens at the moment of deletion. It is not reversible; a new account starts from nothing.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Medical records written by a clinic about your pet stay with that clinic. They are the clinic's record of treatment it gave, not ours to delete — ask the clinic if you want them removed.
  • Audit logs of who read or changed a medical record, and security logs of sign-ins, are kept for as long as the records they describe, because a log that can be erased is not a log.
  • Payment and invoice records for clinic subscriptions are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require.
  • Reviews you left for a clinic remain visible without your name.

None of what is kept can be used to contact you or to identify you from the outside; the fields that could were erased in the step above.
